- A follower of Jesus Christ
You are expected to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This program is a mission to the lost and broken people of this world. It is our firm belief that the spiritual state of man can only be satisfied in a relationship with Jesus.
Paraclete interns will stay in our mission home or a with a host ministry. Rooms will be shared. Hosts and other tenants will live at the host home as well. Interns are expected to abide by house rules and respect their host(s).
- Visa Assistance
Paraclete interns staying for less than three months need to obtain a 60-day tourist visa before arriving in Thailand. All fees acquired in obtaining the first visa are paid by the intern. If an extension is required, visa assistance and fees are provided when in Thailand.
- Food Stipend
Thailand is home to some of the world's best cuisine. Bursting with flavor and color, there is always something new and interesting to try. Paraclete interns will be given a monthly stipend for their food costs. It is the responsibility of each intern to manage their food stipend to last the entire month and have enough to eat each day. An average meal costs 50 baht ($1.60). The mission home hosts "family dinner" weekly where interns will get a little taste of home.
- Transportation Stipend
Bangkok has an array of public transportation including the skytrain (BTS), subway (MRT), buses, taxis, tuk tuks, river boats, vans, songthaews (two seat trucks), and more. It is usually quite easy to get around. Interns are given a monthly transportation stipend. They are responsible to manage that stipend according to their transportation needs.
Paraclete interns have a unique opportunity to help and support established ministries and churches under the supervision and care of missionaries anywhere from "new to the field" to serving for decades. It is a tremendous blessing to see the Great Commission at hand and how God works in many ways through many people. Paracletes can determine what ministry(ies) they would like to support during their time in Thailand. See our partners under the "PARTNERS" tab.
Contact us today about becoming a Paraclete Intern. You can find our contact information with the tab above or clicking below.
Paracletes Internships will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. If the applicant and Paracletes leaders agree on terms, the applicant will be accepted as a Paraclete Intern.
Paraclete Interns can join a number of our ministry partners and churches. Internship requirements will vary depending on the ministry of choice.
Please prayerfully consider what partner you would like to serve with.
Paraclete Interns should start raising support and/or saving enough money to cover the expenses we do not. This includes but is not limited to; airfare, domestic travel, souvenirs, personal items, etc.
